MAG currently offers a comprehensive set of cost and utilization reports. Designed with managed care contracts in mind, cost and use metrics align with service categories of critical importance for risk-based contracts and pay-for-performance programs. Reports span multiple levels of analysis, from individual physician to physician practice to physician organization (e.g. IPA or PHO), that facilitate peer-to-peer comparisons. The reports are also designed to track trends in performance over time, to identify areas where targeted interventions have had their intended effects and areas where additional effort needs to be expended. Ad-hoc, drill down reports allow physicians to view claim specific service activity at the patient level.

MAG has enhanced its reporting system by implementing case-mix adjustment software. The software facilitates more valid comparisons across physicians and helps physicians separate true opportunities from care that is already meeting benchmark performance. MAG also enhanced its report offering by making reports available online to clients. Physicians are able to access physician-specific performance reports and benchmark comparisons via a secure web portal on the MAG website. Advantages of online reports include more robust, dynamic analysis of performance and access to reports when it is convenient for users.
