MAG works with attorneys in the development of IPA/PHO bylaws, articles of incorporation and physician participation agreements. Key issues addressed include:

• The number of IPA/PHO board members
• The ratio of primary care physician and specialist board members
• Whether all physicians will be offered an opportunity to participate in all IPA/PHO contracts
• Whether and how a physician can opt-out of participation in an IPA/PHO contract

MAG also assists in the development of governance structures and medical management processes. This includes the establishment of a Board of Directors and a Medical Management Committee.
